How to read Polish books faster without constant dictionary lookup?

I've been learning Polish for about 18 months now, and I recently tried reading "Wiedźmin" (The Witcher) in Polish since I loved the English version. However, I'm finding myself looking up practically every third word in the dictionary, which makes the whole experience really slow and frustrating.

I really want to improve my reading speed and comprehension without having to check every unfamiliar word. Should I just try to guess meanings from context? Or maybe start with simpler books first?
