What can you share about Polish dialects? I was so disappointed spending 18 months in Germany, with the dialects, that I could not understand the Germans.
Today I just discovered at a local Mexican restaurant the existence of an unfamiliar Spanish dialect.

Hi Ania,
Like in many countries also in Poland there are some dialects, especially up the north and also in the mountains and in Silesia region.
However, all in all the language across the country is quite homogeneous so if you learn standard Polish, you will be able to communicate with 97% or so of the population without any problems.
Here in the UK is much more difficult with many dialects. To be honest I sometimes struggle to understand one of my neighbours 😀
